Press and keep a brake pedal.
Keeping pressed the blocking button (on a control lever), establish a control lever in position D and release the blocking button.
Wait, while automatics will execute inclusion, having created power short circuit of a transmission with driving wheels (at the moment of inclusion we will feel a little push).
Release a pedal of a brake and press an accelerator pedal.
Short-term stops
Stop the car a brake pedal.
Press and keep a brake pedal (for example, at traffic lights) so that idling to exclude spontaneous movement of the car forward or back.
Thus do not press an accelerator pedal.
For трогания from a place on liftings to avoid spontaneous movement of the car, tighten a manual brake.
Parking
Press and keep a brake pedal.
Completely tighten a manual brake.
Keeping pressed the blocking button, establish a control lever in position Р and release the blocking button.
The engine it is possible get only at a control lever finding in position Р or N.
At parking out of the blue establish a control lever in position Р enough. At a considerable slope of road tighten at first completely a manual brake and only then translate a control lever in position Р. Thanks to it loading decreases for the mechanism of blocking and is facilitated страгивание a control lever from position Р.
ATTENTION
At the switching which is carried out to трогания from a place and the working engine, do not press an accelerator pedal.
Remember that at short-term stops with the established control lever in position D, S or R kinematic communication of the engine with wheels does not disappear completely. Therefore at stops keep accordingly the car a brake pedal, and at трогании from a place to use as the help a manual brake to exclude spontaneous movement of the car.
During movement never establish a control lever in position R or Р.

The allocated indication of actual position of a control lever is deduced on the display of a combination of devices. In positions D and S in addition there is an indication of the included transfer.
Р – Lay blocking
In the given position driving wheels are blocked mechanically. Lay blocking is authorised to be included only on the motionless car.
For control lever installation in position Р and it страгивания from the given position press the blocking button (on a control lever) and simultaneously a brake pedal.
R – Backing transfer
At control lever installation the given position joins backing transfer.
Backing transfer is authorised to be included only on the motionless car and at engine work in an idling mode. For control lever installation in position R press the button of blocking and simultaneously a brake pedal. At the included ignition and a control lever finding in position R backing headlights burn.
N – Neutral position (idling position)
The given position is idling position.
D – A substantive provision at advance
In the given position switching on the raised and lowered steps of a forward course is carried out automatically, depending on loading of the engine, speed and the dynamic program of switching (DSP). For transfer of a control lever from position N in position D at speed less than 5 km/h or the motionless car are necessary press a brake pedal.
For possibility of manual reduction in conformity of transfer number to traffic conditions, under certain circumstances, (for example, at movement in mountains or to the trailer) happens more preferably temporarily to be switched to the manual program of switching.
S – Sports position
Establish a control lever in position S at movement in a sports mode. More later switching on the raised steps allows to use reserves of capacity of the engine completely. For transfer of a control lever from position N in position S at speed less than 5 km/h or the motionless car press a brake pedal
THE NOTE
At inadvertent transfer during control lever movement in position N before to return to a mode D or S, to dump gas and wait falling of turns to an idling mode.
For the reasons of the expense of fuel and preservation of the environment on some updatings transmission is arranged so that the maximum speed of the car is reached only in position S.

Control lever blocking
Control lever blocking prevents involuntary inclusion of a range of movement and by that spontaneous movement of the car from a place.
Blocking cancellation
Include ignition.
Press a pedal of a brake and keep simultaneously pressed the blocking button.
Automatic blocking of a control lever
At the included ignition the control lever is blocked in position Р and N. For страгивания it from these positions press a brake pedal. As a reminder to the driver at a control lever finding in positions Р and N on the display there is a following indication: Beim Einlegen einer Fahrstufe im Stand Fussbremse betatigen (at a choice of a mode of movement of the motionless car press a brake pedal).
Besides, on a control lever side scene symbol Pik_39 (automatic blocking of a control lever) lights up.
The control lever is blocked only on the motionless car, and also at speed to 5 km/h. At speed approximately from 5 km/h and above there is an automatic cancellation of blocking of the control lever which is in position N.
At fast (without pauses) control lever transfer through position N (for example, from position R in position D) the control lever is not blocked. It gives, for example, movement possibility враскачку the got stuck car. If the control lever at the released pedal of a brake is more than 1 with in position N it is blocked.
The blocking button
The button of blocking of a control lever interferes with involuntary transfer of a control lever in some positions. By pressing of the given button the control lever is deblocked.
Key blocking in the ignition lock
After deenergizing of ignition a key it is possible take from the lock only at a control lever finding in position Р (lay blocking). After extraction of a key from the lock the lever is blocked in position Р.
Device "Kick-down"
Device "Kick-down" allows to realise the maximum acceleration.
By sharp pressing of a pedal of an accelerator with transition of a point of resistance automatics is switched, depending on turns and speed, on a hill-climbing gear. Switching on the following raised transfer occurs right after achievements of the maximum frequency of rotation of a shaft of the engine, corresponding given transfer.
ATTENTION
Remember that on slippery road it is possible пробуксовывание driving wheels at device "Kick-down" operation.

The dynamic program of switching (DSP)
Management of an automatic transmission is carried out by electronics. Switching on raised and hill-climbing gears is carried out according to programs of movement stored in memory.
At a reserved manner of driving automatics chooses the economic program of switching. Early transition to the raised transfers and late – on lowered favorably influences the fuel expense.
At a dynamical manner of driving with sharp dispersals and frequent differences of speed, with use of the maximum speed or after sharp pressing an accelerator pedal (Kick-down) automatics works in a range of sports programs. Late transition to the raised transfers allows to realise a stock of capacity of the engine completely. Switching on hill-climbing gears is carried out at higher turns of the engine.
The choice optimum on concrete conditions of the program of movement represents continuous process. However irrespective of it it is possible to be switched to more sports program, sharply having pressed an accelerator pedal. Thus the transmission is switched to the lowered step corresponding to actual speed of movement, providing possibility of dynamical dispersal (for example, at overtaking) without necessity of sharp pressing against the stop accelerator pedals. After return switching on the raised step and at a corresponding mode of driving work under the primary program is restored.
The movement program in mountains operates a choice of transfers on liftings and descents. Thanks to it it is not required to be switched at movement to lifting. Pressing of a pedal of a brake at movement under a bias carries out switching on the lowered step. Thereof it is possible to brake the engine, without resorting to manual switching.
Mode Tiptronic
System "Tiptronic" gives the chance to the driver also a manual gear change.
Switching on a manual mode
Wring out a control lever from position D to the right. At the included manual mode on the display there is an indication 6–5–4–3–2–1 with allocation of the transfer included at present.

While translating a control lever forward (in position Tiptronic) there is a switching on the raised transfers ( fig. 1.151).
Switching on hill-climbing gears
While translating a control lever back (in position Tiptronic) there is a switching on hill-climbing gears.
To be switched to a manual mode it is possible both during movement, and during parking.
At dispersal at 1, 2, 3, 4 and 5 steps the box will automatically be switched to the following raised step shortly before achievement of the maximum turns of the engine.
At switching from the raised step on lowered automatics will be switched only after becomes impossible разносное increase in turns of the engine.
At work of device "Kick-down" transmission is switched to the following lowered step depending on speed and frequency of rotation of a shaft of the engine.
