1.6.19. The storage batteryAt normal operation the accumulator almost does not demand maintenance service. However at high surrounding temperature or long, daily movement it is recommended to check electrolit level from time to time. After each gymnastics also check electrolit level.
The accumulator condition is checked also within the limits of inspection maintenance service. After 5 years of operation it is recommended to replace the accumulator.
Accumulator switching-off
As a result of an accumulator detachment some functions of the car (for example, electric glass lifts) are disconnected. The given functions are necessary for programming again after accumulator connection. Therefore disconnect the accumulator from an onboard network only in exceptional cases.
Long idle time of the car
If the car is not maintained long time, the category of the accumulator consumers of a current of rest (for example, anticreeping blocking) takes place. Therefore it is necessary to charge from time to time the accumulator or to disconnect minus an accumulator cable.
Operation in winter conditions
In the winter loading on the accumulator is especially great. Besides, at low temperatures its starting capacity makes only a part from realised at normal temperature.
Therefore it is recommended to check up before the beginning of a winter season and in case of need to recharge the accumulator.

THE NOTE
If in strong frosts the car is not maintained within several weeks the accumulator is better for removing and placing in storage in a heated premise for the purpose of prevention of its freezing and destruction.
