The car is completed бесступенчатой with transmission with electronic control (клиноцепной a variator «Multitronic»). Unlike usual automatic transmission the transfer number changes not a step gear change, and is continuous. It promotes, along with another, optimisation of comfort of traction effort and provides the optimum expense of fuel.
The choice of the corresponding transfer relation of transmission (switching on the raised and lowered ranges of movement) is carried out completely automatically, according to programs of movement stored in memory.
The transmission is completed also with system "Tiptronic". The given system gives to the driver, at desire, possibility of manual switching of ranges.
On the car with transmission «Multitronic» communication of the engine with driving wheels, unlike usual automatic transmission, is carried out through multidisk coupling, instead of through the twisting moment converter. As a result the car is a bit less subject to spontaneous movement at short-term stops with idling the engine and established in position «D», «S» or «R» a control lever. It is necessary to remember it first of all on biases / liftings.
