2.8.17. Check of a radial backlash of rods

Uncover a rod. Clear a cover of the bearing and a radical neck.

Put thread Plastigage according to width of the bearing on a neck and in loose leaves of bearings.

Put on covers of rods and fasten with the moment 30 Нм. Коленвал do not turn.

Again remove covers of rods.

Compare width of thread Plastigage to a scale:

Radial palpation: 0,010–0,052 mm.

The limiting admission of radial palpation: 0,12 mm

Replace bolts шатунных bearings.
