2.6.19. Electric check of the fuel pump

The minimum pressure of the accumulator 12,5 Century

The safety lock in колодке safety locks should be serviceable (a nest 28).

The relay of the fuel pump of a nest 1 pads on 9 relays behind a glove compartment from outside the driver should be serviceable (fig. 2.270).

The fuel filter should be serviceable.

Ignition is switched off.

Procedure for test

Open a cover of the block of safety locks on the left side of the instrument panel.

Take out a safety lock from pads safety locks (the left number, 5th big safety lock from above).

Connect remote control with the help адаптерного a cable to the right plug of a socle.

Connect the tightening plug to the plug (+) АКБ the car.

Press the remote control switch.

After that noise of work of the pump should be audible.

THE NOTE The fuel pump works very silently. During check of the fuel pump do not suppose extraneous noise. If noise of work of the pump is not audible, make following actions.

Remove a luggage carrier upholstery.

Cast away if necessary the right back of a back seat forward.

Remove a back 1/3 at the left.

Remove a luggage carrier covering sideways at the left and грязеприемную a bath.

Turn off a cover of a deaf flange (fig. 2.241).

Disconnect the tip from a deaf flange (fig. 2.260).

Connect a manual multimeter for pressure measurement on contacts 1 and 4 (fig. 2.271).

Press the remote control switch.

Preset value: прибл. As pressure of the accumulator.

If actual value below set, eliminate chain rupture, having taken advantage of the electric scheme.

If actual value equally set though noise of work of the pump is not audible, remove knot of giving of fuel (fig. 2.272).

Be convinced of that the electric wires connecting a flange and the fuel pump, are connected, check up their conductivity.

If problems in conducting it is not revealed, means, the fuel pump is faulty – replace knot of giving of fuel.

Establish knot of giving of fuel.
