2.6.18. Removal and installation of a fuel tank from hinged details

For removal the fuel tank should be empty for reduction of its weight. If necessary pump out fuel from a fuel tank.

Take away an accumulator cover to the right 1 and remove it, lifting upwards 2 (fig. 2.256).

Disconnect a wire of weight from АКБ at the switched off ignition.

Quickly turn off and then again twirl a stopper of a jellied mouth of a fuel tank.

Remove a luggage carrier upholstery.

Cast away if necessary the right back of a back seat forward.

Remove a back 1/3 at the left.

Remove a luggage carrier covering sideways at the left and грязеприемную a bath.

Turn off a cover of a deaf flange (fig. 2.241).

Disconnect the tip from a deaf flange (fig. 2.260).

Disconnect a ventilating tube 1 (fig. 2.261).

Disconnect a ventilating tube, having pressed for this purpose the clamp button (fig. 2.262).

Open лючок a fuel tank and disconnect a loop 1 (fig. 2.263).

THE NOTE Do not turn off a cover of a jellied mouth.

Clear of a dirt space round a jellied mouth.

By means of the lever take out a tightening ring from a rubber cup and press through a rubber cup inside.

Remove a back right wheel.

Remove back right подкрылок.

Disconnect a ventilating tube 2 from a jellied mouth.

Turn off the screw of 1 fastening of a jellied mouth (fig. 2.264).

Remove an overlay of the bottom of the car.

Remove overlays of the bottom of the car 1 and 2 (fig. 2.265).

Remove a back part of an exhaust system.

ATTENTION Before easing of bolts of a stretcher take measures against car overturning (for example, load a luggage compartment with cargo in weight about 50 kg).

Remove the back bridge.

Disconnect a cable of a drive of lay brake system at the right forward wall of a fuel tank in the places noted by arrows (fig. 2.266).

Disconnect submitting pipeline from the fuel filter 1, having pressed for this purpose the clamp button. Collect fuel following as a result of it.

Disconnect a return fuel highway 3 and a ventilating tube 2, having pressed for this purpose the clamp button (fig. 2.267).

On cars with an independent heater besides disconnect топливопровод the dosing out pump of an independent heater.

Disconnect a fuel highway 1 and a ventilating tube 2 at the right forward wall of a fuel tank, having pressed for this purpose buttons of clamps (fig. 2.268).

On cars with an independent heater besides disconnect топливопровод the dosing out pump of an independent heater.

For a support put under a fuel tank a jack for the engine and КП.

ATTENTION At removal the fuel tank should be empty for reduction of its weight.

Unscrew bolts 1–7.

Then lower a fuel tank by means of a jack for the engine and КП (fig. 2.269).

Installation is carried out in return sequence, thus it is necessary to observe following instructions.

THE NOTE For fastening of all connections of hoses use collars of a corresponding series. Be convinced that топливопроводы and a ventilating tube приклипсованы to arms and to a fuel tank.

Check up both connections of a wire of weight on absence of traces of oxidising process. At detection remove such traces.

Check up Adjusting position of a wire of weight.

The tip 3 should nest densely 2 (fig. 2.255).

The contact uvula 1 should be suspended in a fuel tank 4.

Establish a fuel tank with coupling tapes by means of a jack for the engine and КП on the car bottom.

At its installation pay attention to correctness of occurrence of a jellied mouth in a body aperture.

Fix bolts a fuel tank at first in points 2, 5, 3, 4, then in points 1, 6 and 7 (fig. 2.269).

Tighten fastening of a jellied mouth.

ATTENTION After installation check up by means of an ohmmeter electric contact of a nest on a jellied mouth with any pure unpainted place of a body.

Preset value: nearby 0 Ohm.

Establish the back bridge.

Establish a back part of an exhaust system.

Establish back right подкрылок, thus twirl the fixing screw of a jellied mouth.

Connect the storage battery. To execute the actions provided after connection АКБ.

The inhaling moments:

– Coupling tapes to a body – 23 Нм;

– A jellied mouth to a wheel arch – 23 Нм.
