2.6.13. Replacement of the block of management of the engine

THE NOTE
At рассоединении sockets of the block of management of the engine from memory the programmed values leave, contents of memory of malfunctions remain.

Removal
Connect a diagnostic complex and set in the field of a choice automobile system 01-Motor-steuergeraet/the Block of management of the engine. Ignition should be thus included.

On the display of a diagnostic complex the identification data and the coding of blocks of management (fig. 2.245) will be displayed.
At first it is necessary to familiarise attentively with the identification data of blocks of management and to unpack them.
Switch off ignition.
Extend a rubber lining of a cover of a water taking away box in a direction specified by an arrow.

Remove a casing of a water taking away box 1 forward (fig. 2.246).
Hook a screw-driver and remove both protective caps 3.
Turn off шестигранные nuts 4 on some turns.

Slightly having inclined, release levers 2 screen wipers from a screen wiper axis (fig. 2.247).
Completely unscrew шестигранные nuts and remove screen wiper levers.
Pull together safety clip-on earrings 1 and remove дефлектор 5 (fig. 2.247).

Uncover electroboxes on a water taking away box, unscrew screws (fig. 2.74).

Cautiously raise by means of a screw-driver a fixing collar (fig. 2.75).

To complicate access to sockets on the block of management of the engine, this block 1 is fastened by means of a clamp 2 and срезных screws 3 and 4 to the metal case 5 (fig. 2.248).

ATTENTION
In order to avoid damage (combustion) штекерных connections and connections of wires, isolation and management blocks it is necessary strictly observe the resulted sequence of works.

The carving both срезных screws 4 (which are fastened not to the block of management of the engine) is covered by a clamp. Therefore for twisting of both screws it is necessary to warm up their carving the industrial hair dryer (fig. 2.248).
The carving both срезных screws 3 (which are fastened to the block of management of the engine) is not covered by a clamp. A carving in the case of the block of management it is not authorised and, besides, it is not required to warm up (inadmissible heating of the block of management of the engine).

Adjust the industrial hair dryer how it is shown in drawing 2.249.
It means that the potentiometer of a regulator of temperature 2 should be established on the maximum heating, and the two-level switch of intensity обдува 3 – in position 3.

THE NOTE
Then heat up срезные screws the industrial hair dryer. Thanks to it braking action of a clamp on a carving срезных screws stops, and lock screws can be unscrewed, putting less efforts.

Cover all painted surfaces to prevent damages from the industrial hair dryer or tightening grips.

ATTENTION
Because of heating срезных screws parts of a protective casing strongly heat up. Do not burn. It is necessary also watch that only lock screws, instead of nearby components whenever possible heated up. If necessary it is necessary to cover them.

Direct a nozzle of the industrial hair dryer on срезной the clamp screw.
Include the industrial hair dryer and heat the screw approximately 20–25 with.

Then grasp tightening pincers a screw head and unscrew it (fig. 2.250).
Actions at untwisting of the second screw the similar.
Both срезных the screw which are fastened to the block of management of the engine, it is not necessary to warm up. They should be unscrewed without heating.
After that it is possible to separate the block of management of the engine and a protective casing.

Liberate штекерные latches and remove connecting sockets 1 and 2 from the block of management of the engine (fig. 2.251).
Take the old block of management of the engine and insert the new.

Installation
Installation is carried out in return sequence. Necessarily establish a protective casing of the block of management of the engine. Use new срезные screws.
After installation of the new block of management of the engine it is necessary to make following works.
To activate the block of management of the engine in Conducted search of malfunctions during check / function Motorsteuergeraet ersetzen (Replace the block of management of the engine).
