7.2.7. Accumulators with a magic eye
The magic eye gives the chance receptions of the information on level of electrolit and about level of gymnastics of the checked accumulator ( fig. 7.12). Three various colour indications are possible.

Procedure for test
If accumulators are for technical reasons equipped by stoppers these stoppers are stuck by a polymeric film.
Before carrying out of control survey it is necessary slightly and to knock cautiously with the screw-driver handle on a magic eye – thus air vials disappear.
Consider indications of the colour indicator of "a magic eye.
Control survey of the storage battery
Before carrying out of measurements, for example, pressure of a current of rest, density of electrolit or accumulator check under loading, it is necessary to spend control survey of the accumulator.
If the accumulator case is damaged – because of case damage probably вытекание electrolits.
If polar conclusions of the accumulator (conclusions АКБ) are damaged – because of damage of polar conclusions of the accumulator contact of connections of cables is not provided. Thereof there can be an ignition of a cable and occur failure in an electric equipment.
If its original stoppers are twisted in the accumulator – stoppers should be supplied by a sealing ring. At утере or damage it is authorised to use only original stoppers of the same design.
