3.3.3. Check of level of oil ATF and its pouring

THE NOTE
The left top drawing on a tank of the adaptation for pouring ATF for КП CVT VAS 5162 specifies that for for КП CVT special oil ATF is required.

Besides in drawing 3.78 necessary stages of refuelling which are described as follows are represented.

ATTENTION
It is impossible to start the engine if after carrying out of repair or after considerable exit ATF in КП is absent or there is small amount ATF.
In this case it is necessary to fill in 4,5–5 l ATF preliminary.

Check conditions
КП it is impossible to leave in the damaged condition.
The car should is on an elevating platform or over a hole for car repairs absolutely horizontally.
The engine should work on single turns.
The conditioner and heater should be switched off.

THE NOTE
Level ATF depends on temperature ATF.
Check of level ATF at low temperature leads to overflow.
Check of level ATF at a heat leads незаполнению.
Overflow on равне with незаполнением breaks functioning КП.
Temperature ATF is read out on diagnostic complex VAS 5051 A.

THE NOTE
Level ATF is checked on control bolt ATF.

Level ATF in norm if in an interval between 35 and 45 C (for the countries with a hot climate 50 C) temperatures ATF on a control bolt still acts a liquid small amount (it is caused by lifting of level of a liquid at heating).
Fill the adaptation for pouring ATF for КП CVT VAS with 5162 oil ATF for КП CVT.

ATTENTION
The system of refuelling ATF should be pure and oil ATF should not mix up with other oils ATF.

Fix заправленый a tank of the adaptation for pouring ATF for КП CVT VAS 5162 as much as possible highly on the car (fig. 3.79).

THE NOTE
The crane the adaptation for pouring ATF for КП CVT VAS 5162 should be closed.

Switch at the pressed pedal of a brake selector AKPP through all positions (P, R, N, D, S) at engine work on turns of idling and remain in each position approximately 2 with.

Open latches 2 and 3 and remove a back part of a noise isolation (fig. 3.1).
Put under КП capacity for oil plum.

On reaching temperature ATF 35 C, turn away control bolt ATF In (fig. 3.80).

THE NOTE
At untwisting of a bolt an internal tube of the index of level of oil at first always leaves about 5 ml ATF.

If ATF continues to arrive through перепускную a tube from control aperture ATF before temperature ATF will reach 40 C, level of oil ATF is in norm.
Replace control bolt ATF and tighten it. The inhaling moment: 20 Нм.

THE NOTE
Control bolt ATF is necessary for turning at temperature not above 45 C (for the countries with a hot climate 50 C).
If at temperature ATF above 45 C considerable quantity ATF acts excessively, КП is filled insufficiently.

On it control ATF is finished.
Finish function 08 – to Consider the block of measured sizes as button pressing.
Press 06 – conclusion End.
Switch off ignition and disconnect a diagnostic socket.
If to 40 C on a control bolt does not appear ATF, to fill in ATF.

Pouring ATF

Turn the crane handle in a direction of a refuelling hose. ATF flows down in КП (fig. 3.81).

THE NOTE
The engine should work on single turns.
Screw шуцер the crane of the adaptation for pouring ATF for КП CVT VAS 5162 in an aperture of control bolt ATF In (fig. 3.80).

Under the crane of the adaptation for pouring ATF for КП CVT VAS 5162 hold a tank approaching for it.

Handle rotation in a crane direction check up level ATF (the bottom arrow) (fig. 3.82).
Level ATF is in norm if from the crane to temperature 45 C oil slightly drips.

THE NOTE
An internal tube of the index of level of oil at first always leaves about 5 ml ATF.

If ATF does not follow from a control aperture, turn the crane handle back in a direction of a refuelling hose and add ATF, repeatedly check up level ATF.
When level ATF will be in norm, again turn away the crane.

THE NOTE
After crane untwisting, ATF slightly leaks.

Replace control bolt ATF and tighten it.
The inhaling moment: 20 Нм

THE NOTE
Control bolt ATF In is necessary for turning at temperature no more than 45 C (for the countries with a hot climate 50 C) (fig. 3.80).
If at temperature ATF above 45 C as a result of heating considerable quantity ATF acts excessively, КП is filled insufficiently.

Finish function 08 – to Consider the block of measured sizes as button pressing.
Press 06 – conclusion End.
Switch off ignition and disconnect a diagnostic socket.

Contact corrosion
Case KP бесступенчатой automatic КП multitronic 01J consists of a magnesian alloy.
Bolts and other elements directly contacting with КП, have a surface which adjoins to case KP consisting of magnesium.
On КП, consisting of magnesium, it is necessary to replace always bolts on the following болтовых connections: cover КП to case KP and a cover of the main transfer to case KP.
At application of inappropriate elements (bolts, nuts, washers) there is a contact corrosion. Case KP is damaged.
Besides, case KP, cover КП and a differential cover should consist of an identical material.
If there are doubts in possibility of repeated application of details in this case it is better to establish the new.
