5.2.1. Shipping protection

The new steering columns delivered as spare parts, are fixed by means of shipping protection.

After installation of a steering column in the car this protection is necessary for removing.

In case of removal and installation of the steering column which was in the use it is necessary to provide protection against separation of the top and bottom parts of a steering column at removal from the steering mechanism. For such protection use a collar or a wire.

If the top and bottom parts of a steering column too strongly to move apart or enter each other gear gearing will be separated.

Such оразом at the further operation occurrence of knocks if teeths do not rise in the initial position is possible.
