Unscrew bolts 1 from an overlay of a bumper 2 from above (fig. 8.2).

Unscrew bolts 1 from an overlay of a bumper 2 from above.

Unscrew a bolt 4 on an inside of a wing 3.

THE NOTE The bolt will be accessible only after the casing of an arch of a wing will be cleaned.

The plug-in nut 5 is inserted into a bumper overlay (fig. 8.3).

Loosen the bolts and quick-detachable fastenings 1 and 2 also remove a noise isolation (fig. 8.4).

THE NOTE For descriptive reasons wheels in drawings are presented in the removed kind.

THE NOTE In models RS4 also it is in addition necessary release fastening on a wing inside.

Repeat the given operations on a car opposite side.

By means of a screw-driver release lock hooks 1.4 (arrows) and remove a lattice of a fence of air to the left and to the right in the bottom part of a bumper (fig. 8.7).

In cars since identification number of the car 400 001 – loosen the an adjusting bolt 3 on a support 5.

Thus the countersupport 4 will enter into a support 5 and will release an overlay of a bumper 1 (fig. 8.8).

Turn away lock bolts of a bumper at the left and on the right, прибл. 15 turns (marksman) (fig. 8.9).

THE NOTE In cars, since индентификационного numbers 400 001, it is necessary to turn out lock bolts completely.

Cautiously pull a bumper forward.

There, where it is necessary, disconnect a hose of 1 washer of headlights and merge water in the pure tank for the further use (fig. 8.10).

THE NOTE Before bumper installation check up presence of carving pins on lateral walls of a bumper, and also замковых клипс and plugs in wings.

Establish a bumper on power absorbing buffer and to connect a hose of 1 washer of headlights and штекерные sockets 2 (fig. 8.10).

Establish a bumper in assembly position. Watch that carving pins in lateral walls of a bumper have entered into apertures in wings.

Establish подкрылок into place And.

Insert lateral walls of a bumper into a clamp In (fig. 8.6).

Twirl nuts 1 (4 Нм) and a bolt 2 (1 Нм).

Repeat the given operations on a car opposite side.

Twirl to the right and to the left lock bolts of a bumper (marksman) (23 Нм) (fig. 8.9).

Establish left and right воздухозаборную a lattice in a bumper.

Installation is carried out in return sequence.
