2.2.5. Replacement of spark plugs

ATTENTION
Establish a stripper on the uppermost thick edge of coils of ignition and separate it from spark plugs as at the subsequent installation of a stripper on the bottom edges it is possible to damage them (fig. 2.23).

4-tsil. Petrol engines 2V 1.6 l
Remove a protective cover of the engine.
At the switched off ignition remove tips 1 from spark plugs ( fig. 2.24). Unscrew spark plugs a key for spark plugs.
Screw in new spark plugs.
Check up reliability of fixing of high-voltage wires and tips of spark plugs.
The inhaling moment: spark plugs in a head of cylinders – 30 Нм.
4-tsil. Petrol engines 5V 1.8 l with a turbo-supercharging
Switch off ignition.
Remove a protective cover of the engine.
Remove tips 1 from ignition coils ( fig. 2.25). Press a tip 1 in a direction of the coil of ignition.
Press by hand a latch and remove a tip.
Remove by means of a stripper of the coil from spark plugs.
Unscrew spark plugs a key for spark plugs.
Screw in new spark plugs.
The inhaling moment: spark plugs in a head of the block of cylinders – 30 Нм.

Switch off ignition.
Remove a protective cover of the engine (at presence).
Remove both bolts 1.

Press a tip 2 in a direction of the coil of ignition ( fig. 2.26). Press by hand a latch and remove a tip.
Remove by means of a stripper of the coil from spark plugs.
Unscrew spark plugs a key for spark plugs.
Screw in new spark plugs.

Switch off ignition.

The right number of cylinders
Remove the top part of the air filter.
Remove both bolts 1.
Press a tip 2 in a direction of the coil of ignition. Press by hand a latch and remove a tip.

Screw in new spark plugs.

The left number of cylinders
Unscrew a tank with a cooling liquid ( fig. 2.28). Fix a tank with the hoses attached to it 1–3 aside.
Remove both bolts 1.

Press a tip 2 in a direction of the coil of ignition ( fig. 2.29). Press by hand a latch and remove a tip.
Remove by means of a stripper of the coil 3 from spark plugs.
Unscrew spark plugs a key for spark plugs.
Screw in new spark plugs.

Switch off ignition.

Remove both bolts 1

Remove a casing, having pulled it upwards ( fig. 2.31). Unscrew a tank with a cooling liquid ( fig. 2.28). Fix a tank with the hoses attached to it 1–3 aside.
Remove both bolts 1
