2.2.4. Check of a tension and presence of damages (V6 TDI), adjustment of a tension of a gear belt of drive ТНВДRemove a protective cover of the engine.
Remove the top protection of a gear belt.
Check up a condition of a gear belt about presence on it of following damages:
– Cracks, cross-section breaks;
– Stratification (a belt skeleton, кордшнур);
– Development of a skeleton of a belt;
– истрепанность кордшнура;
– Superficial cracks (a plastic covering);
– Presence of traces of oil and greasing.

ATTENTION
The found out damages are subject to obligatory elimination.

Check up a tension of a gear belt of pump TNVD.

Labels 1 and 2 should be opposite each other ( fig. 2.8). If labels do not coincide, pull a gear belt.

Loosen the the oil filter by means of a key for removal of the filter or a tension tape ( fig. 2.9).
Remove the oil filter.
Observe instructions on installation of the oil filter.
Turn off a drain bolt or pump out engine oil.
Clear the surface of the filter adjoining to the engine.
Slightly oil a rubber lining.
Screw in and tighten the new filter.

ATTENTION
After replacement of a cartridge of the oil filter check up passableness of hoses from an oil radiator to boundary constructive elements, if necessary modify position of an oil radiator (fig. 2.10).

Screw up a drain bolt with new ring consolidation.
Fill in engine oil.

Engines with турбонагнетателем ОГ
At the first start of the engine after replacement of engine oil and the oil filter, consider mentioned below factors.
Until in a combination of devices the control lamp of pressure of oil burns, the engine should work only on single turns. Do not add gas. Gas addition can cause damage or failure turbocharger.
Only after the control lamp will go out, necessary pressure of oil is reached and it is possible to add gas.
6-tsil. Petrol engines BBJ and ASN
Loosen the the oil filter by means of a tension tape.
Observe instructions on installation of the oil filter.
Will twist a drain bolt or pump out engine oil.
Clear the surface of the filter adjoining to the engine.
Slightly oil a rubber lining.
Screw in and tighten the new filter.

THE NOTE
Before removal of the oil filter merge from it engine oil to avoid oil hit on the engine and hinged elements.

Unscrew a protective cap of the valve at the bottom of 1 ( fig. 2.12). Hose with a spherical head disconnect from the adapter for plum of oil and screw in a carving bolt in the valve at the bottom of the case of the oil filter 2 to easy resistance.
Then connect a hose with a spherical head to a carving bolt and screw in the adapter for oil plum against the stop, distinct click of the drain valve will be thus audible.
Allow to work to the oil filter empty.
Unscrew the adapter for oil plum.
Check up conformity of the valve to 1 position shown in drawing 2.13 and absence of its warp. Screw a protective cap.
Open the case of the oil filter 2 by means of a key for filters or replaceable face head SW 36, for example nozzles SW 36, and remove the oil filter.
Replace filtering element 4 and ring consolidation 3 ( fig. 2.12).
Observe position of a service ledge of a cuff (see to an arrow drawing 2.14) Clear the surface of the filter adjoining to the engine.
Slightly oil a rubber lining.
The smooth party of a cuff should be turned outside.
Screw in and tighten the filter case.
Screw a drain bolt with new ring consolidation.
Fill in engine oil.
The inhaling moment:
– The oil filter – 25+5 Нм;
– A drain bolt – 30 Нм.

Remove antinoise isolation.

Loosen the a cover 1 for the oil filter by means of a key.
Unscrew a drain bolt or pump out engine oil.
Replace ring consolidation and filtering element ( fig. 2.15). Tighten a cover by means of a key for removal of the oil filter.
Screw up a drain bolt with new ring consolidation.
Fill in engine oil.
The inhaling moment:
– A drain bolt – 30 Нм;
– A cover – 25 Нм.

Remove a tank 1 and to put it aside.

Before merging or pumping out engine oil, loosen the a cover that oil could follow from the case of the oil filter freely.

Unscrew a cover of the oil filter by means of a face head 2 ( fig. 2.16). Clear adjoining surfaces of a cover and the case of the oil filter.
Replace filtering element. 1.
Establish and slightly oil ring consolidations 2.
To insert filtering element into a cover of the oil filter.
Establish a cover of the oil filter 3 ( fig. 2.17). Establish a tank.
Remove antinoise isolation.
Open a drain bolt of the oil pallet or pump out engine oil.
Close a drain bolt.
Fill in engine oil.
The inhaling moment:
– A cover of the oil filter – 25 Нм;
– A drain bolt of the oil pallet – 30 Нм.

Ring consolidation for a drain bolt is not provided.

Loosen the a cover 1.

Replace ring consolidations 2 and a filtering element 3 ( fig. 2.18). By means of the device pump out the remained oil from the filter case.
Turn off a drain bolt or pump out engine oil.
Screw a drain bolt with new ring consolidation.
Tighten a cover 1 by means of a face head.
Fill in engine oil.

8-tsil. Petrol engines 4.2 MPI
Uncover the engine, having pulled it upwards.
Loosen the a cover of the oil filter by means of a face head ( fig. 2.19).
Take out filtering element.

At extraction of a filtering element the valve and oil automatically opens flows down in картер.

Replace ring consolidations 2 and a filtering element 3 ( fig. 2.20). Tighten a cover.
Turn off a drain bolt or pump out engine oil.
Screw a drain bolt with new ring consolidation.
Fill in engine oil.
The inhaling moment:
– A cover of the oil filter – 25 Нм;
– A drain bolt – 50 Нм.
8-tsil. Petrol engines 4.2 FSI (RS4)
Uncover the engine, having pulled it upwards.
Turn off bolts 1и take out a tube 2 of clip-on earrings ( fig. 2.21). Arm remove aside.
