The top part of the air filter get from fastening and remove to the engine.
Take out an old filtering element.
Clear the case of the filter and establish a new filtering element.
The further assemblage is carried out in return sequence.
4-tsil. Petrol engines of 1.6 l and 2,0 l FSI
Unscrew bolts.
Remove a branch pipe of inlet air 4 and disconnect штекерный a socket 3 from air flowmeter.
Loosen the both bolts 2 in the top part of the air filter also remove it, having pulled upwards ( fig. 2.4).
Take out an old filtering element.
Clear the case of the filter and establish a new filtering element.
The further assemblage is carried out in return sequence.
4-tsil. Petrol engines 2.0 FSI with a turbo-supercharging
Disconnect штекерный a socket from air flowmeter.
Loosen the a fastening collar воздуховодного a hose to турбонагнетателю and also disconnect it from air flowmeter.
Loosen the both bolts 1 in the top part of the air filter also remove it, having pulled upwards.
Take out an old filtering element.
Clear the case of the filter and establish a new filtering element.
The further assemblage is carried out in return sequence.
4-tsil. Petrol engines of 1,8 l 5V with a turbo-supercharging
Unscrew bolts.
Loosen the шланговые collars 1 also remove a branch pipe from the valve of the tank with the activated coal.
Completely remove a branch pipe 3 and loosen the both bolts 2 ( fig. 2.5).
The top part of the air filter take out from fastening and remove to the engine.
Take out an old filtering element.
Clear the case of the filter and establish a new filtering element.
The further assemblage is carried out in return sequence.
6-tsil. Petrol engines of 3,0 l
Disconnect the magnetic valve of the tank with the activated coal 1 from an air line ( fig. 2.2).
To turn off bolts.
Remove an air line 2.
Remove a branch pipe of inlet air 4 and disconnect штекерный a socket 3 from air flowmeter ( fig. 2.6).
Both топливопровода take out from fastening in the top part of the air filter.
Separate tubes in a place of their connection 1.
Loosen the both bolts 2 in the top part of the air filter also remove it, having pulled upwards.
Take out an old filtering element.
Clear the case of the filter and establish a new filtering element.
The further assemblage is carried out in return sequence.
8-tsil. Petrol engines of 4,2 l MPI
Disconnect the magnetic valve of the tank with the activated coal 1 from an air line.
To turn off bolts.
Remove a branch pipe of an admission of air 4 and disconnect штекерный a socket 3 from air flowmeter.
Remove a wire 1 and loosen the both bolts 2 ( fig. 2.7).
Take out both топливопровода from an arm in the top part of the air filter and remove them, having pulled upwards.
Take out an old filtering element.
Clear the case of the filter and establish a new filtering element.
The further assemblage is carried out in return sequence.
8-tsil. Petrol engines of 4,2 l (RS4)
Disconnect топливопровод 1 from the top part of the air filter.
Remove an air line 2.
Loosen the шланговые collars 2 also remove a branch pipe of an admission of air from the top part of the air filter.
Disconnect штекерный a socket 1 from air flowmeter.
Remove шланговое connection from arms.
Loosen the bolts 5 also remove the top part of the air filter, having pulled it upwards.
Take out an old filtering element.
Clear the case of the filter and establish a new filtering element.
The further assemblage is carried out in return sequence.
THE NOTE
At strong pollution of a filtering element of a particle of a dirt or a moisture can get to a flowmeter of air and change values of the measured weight of air. It causes the decrease in capacity caused by reduction of quantity of injected fuel.
Establish only an original filtering element.
Before installation be convinced of absence of greasing and oil on branch pipes and hoses of system of pressurisation. At installation do not apply greasing with silicone.
The case of the air filter should be necessarily cleared.
For fastening of all connections of hoses use corresponding standard collars.
At a purge of the case of the air filter the compressed air observe listed more low a rule.
In order to avoid occurrence of malfunctions, the basic air-conducting knots, such as air lines etc., cover with pure rags.
Hose for water plum in the bottom part of the air filter check up on absence of pollution (if necessary clean).

Check up absence of adjournment of salt, a dirt and leaves in a flowmeter of air and воздухозаборном a branch pipe (from outside an admission of pure air).
Check up absence of a dirt and leaves in an air line from the forward closing panel of a body to the case of the air filter.
At installation of a filtering element supervise its installation precisely on the arm centre in the bottom part of the air filter.
Accurately, without making the big effort, establish the top part of the air filter on filtering element. Thus watch that the top part of the air filter has been established without displacement. Pay attention to correct adjusting position of a sealing edge of a filtering element.
Pay attention to reliability of fastening воздухозаборного of a branch pipe to air flowmeter.
