1.3.6. The monitoring system of pressure of air in tyres

The car with the monitoring system of pressure of air in tyres
The monitoring system of pressure of air in tyres supervises pressure of air of four driving wheels during movement.
Fire of corresponding symbols and conclusion of text indication to the display of a combination of devices the system warns the driver about air pressure drop in tyres. Some updatings of the car are completed with the multi-colour display with the raised resolution. The system works by means of the sensor controls mounted on wheels. Radio signals of the given sensor controls arrive in the monitoring system of pressure of air in tyres.
It is necessary to remember that pressure of air in tyres also depends on tyre temperature. With tyre rise in temperature on 10 °С pressure of air in it increases approximately by 0,1 bar. During movement the tyre heats up and as a result pressure of air increases. Therefore to correct pressure of air it is possible only on cold tyres when the tyre temperature approximately corresponds to the surrounding temperature.
The regular control, updating is necessary for trouble-free function of the monitoring system of pressure of air in tyres at necessity and input in memory of the set pressure of air in tyres.
Norms of pressure of air in tyres it is possible find in the tablet pasted on a rack of a door.

THE NOTE
The underestimated pressure of air in tyres increases the expense of fuel and accelerates deterioration of tyres.
At replacement of tyres it is not authorised to remove or change sensor controls and gates. It is necessary to replace only a gate zolotnik. The gate and wheel electronics change only if necessary.

The big loss of pressure of air in tyres
At the big loss of pressure of air there is a red symbol.

Symbol occurrence on the display means air pressure drop in the tyre a minimum of one wheel. In this case it is necessary to stop and check up the tyre/tyre.
If necessary replace a wheel.
If pressure drop of air concerning the set pressure makes more than 0,5 bar, on the display there is a symbol together with text indication: «Reifendriicke priifen»

THE NOTE
In case of a complete set of the car system "PAX" under certain conditions probably further movement.
In case of deliberate выпускания air from a wheel, for example, at the pressure updating, new pressure should be programmed anew.

Moderate loss of pressure of air in tyres
At moderate loss of pressure of air there is a yellow symbol.

If pressure drop of air concerning the set pressure makes more than 0,3 bar, on the display there is a tyre symbol.

THE NOTE
To correct pressure of air in tyres it is authorised only when the temperature of tyres approximately corresponds to the surrounding temperature.

Input in memory of the data of pressure of air
Correct input in memory of the set pressure is the basic condition of accuracy of function of the monitoring system of pressure of air in tyres.

Condition of accuracy of the monitoring system of pressure of air in tyres is input in memory of the set pressure of air at each updating of pressure, for example, in case of change of loading of the car (fig. 1.69). For functioning of the monitoring system of pressure of air in tyres it is necessary to modify pressure of air.
Check up pressure of air in tyres.
If necessary modify pressure according to resulted in the door pasted on a rack to the tablet to norms.
Enter into memory the given pressure of air
Press mounted on the handle of a screen wiper button "RESET".
Will choose «Reifendruck-Kontrollsystem».
Will choose «Reifendruck speichern».
Input in memory of the data of pressure of air is necessary each time after deliberate change of the set pressure.
After input in memory the monitoring system of pressure of air measures the fact sheet of pressure of air in tyres and enters them into memory as the new set pressure.

Wheel replacement («Radwechsel»)
In case of wheel replacement it is necessary to program the given pressure of the replaced wheels anew.
Press mounted on the handle of a screen wiper button "RESET".
Will choose «Reifendruck-Kontrollsystem».

Will choose «Radwechsel» (wheel replacement) (fig. 1.70).
In case of wheel replacement function realisation «Radwechsel» (wheel replacement) is required. After function sample there is a programming of values of pressure of new wheels. The given stage of programming can last about twenty minutes.
At a stage of programming working capacity of system is limited. It means that alarm indication is possible only at air pressure drop more low is minimum admissible set pressure in one or several wheels. In this case there is a red alarm symbol with text indication «Reifendruck» (pressure of air in tyres).

Functional infringements
Functional infringement can be caused the various reasons.

In the absence of access to system on the display there is a crossed out symbol of the tyre (fig. 1.71).
Occurrence of the given symbol in the end of programming process can mean that the system does not identify the wheels mounted on the car. The reason can consist in installation of one or several wheels without a sensor control.
It can as to mean failure of a sensor control of a wheel or other components.
The system identifies more than 4 wheels of the car, for example, at transportation in the car of winter wheels.
Wheel replacement has been carried out without function inclusion «Radwechsel» (wheel replacement).
At operation of chains противоскольжения, owing to properties of shielding of chains, infringement of function of system can take place.
Sending devices with identical frequency, for example, earphones being in the car or radio station can be at the bottom of time malfunction of system owing to strong electromagnetic fields.
Eliminate whenever possible malfunction and in summary once again cause function «Radwechsel» (wheel replacement).
