1.3.3. Information system of the driver (FIS)The general data
The information system of the driver (FIS) is car information centre.

Indication of information system of the driver is deduced on located in the centre of a combination of devices the display ( fig. 1.41). The given system informs the owner on an actual technical condition of the car.
On some updatings of the car the information image on the display of a combination of devices is multi-colour and possesses the raised resolution.

THE NOTE
On cars with automatic transmission the information is deduced on the display only after inclusion of a mode of movement.

In the absence of the information on malfunction of the second degree and the included radio (depending on a radio complete set) after indication ОК will go out, on the display there is a name of the chosen radio station or a radio frequency with the additional information.

Indication of external temperature is deduced on the display at the included ignition. On cars with automatic transmission indication appears only after inclusion of a range of movement. At temperature from +5 С to–5 С to the left of temperature indication the symbol is highlighted. Occurrence of a symbol in the form of a snowflake warns the driver about necessity of extra care in view of danger of ice. On the motionless car or at movement with very small speed indication can be a little above actual temperature owing to heat radiated by the engine.
On cars with the conditioner at display switching on indications under the Fahrenheit scale (F) accordingly indication of external temperature automatically changes.

ATTENTION
Never take for a basis indication of external temperature at definition of probability of ice on road. Remember that at external temperature +5 С ice formation also is possible.

THE NOTE
At a conclusion to the display of the data of system of navigation (support to the purpose) indication of external temperature appears in the second line of the display panel of radio.

Course stock on fuel
On the display indication of a stock of a course on fuel in kilometres is deduced.
The given indication shows, how many kilometres the car still can pass on the actual rest of fuel in the given mode of movement. The course stock on fuel is defined by the discrete values counted by steps on 10 km.
The expense of fuel on the last is accepted to a basis of calculations of a stock of a course of 30 km of a way. At more economic subsequent movement the course stock increases.

The pictogramme is deduced on the display if at the included ignition are not closed a minimum one door, a cowl or a luggage carrier. The pictogramme specifies also, what door or doors are not closed. In drawing 1.45 as an example the door of the driver and a back right door are shown. Represented on the pictogramme of the display the cowl or a luggage carrier blink, if they are not closed. Right after full closing of all doors, a cowl and a luggage carrier the given pictogramme dies away.
Indication of the pictogramme warning about an open door and a luggage carrier, cars with information system of the driver and the onboard computer it is possible to disconnect short-term pressing of command keys by the onboard computer. However the pictogramme will appear at once again after change of position of doors, a cowl or a luggage carrier.
