THE NOTE Some of the resulted positions enter into a complete set only certain updatings or are established by request. In case of a factory complete set of the car the system of navigation Audi plus and radio system Audi symphony on them applies the corresponding operation manual. At the included ignition arrows a combination of devices are shined. At included light scales in addition are shined.

The index of temperature of a cooling liquid works only at the included ignition.

If the arrow still is in the left part of a scale it means that the engine yet has not reached working temperature. Avoid the raised turns, full gas and considerable loading of the engine.

The engine has reached working temperature if at a normal mode of movement of the marksman of the index of temperature fluctuates within an average part of a scale. At considerable loading of the engine and a heat of external air of the marksman can depart and further to the right on a scale. It should not become an occasion to alarm while on the display of a combination of devices the alarm symbol will not light up.

The blinking of an alarm symbol on the display testifies to falling of level of a cooling liquid or its overheat.

ATTENTION Never open a cowl if a motor compartment steam or a cooling liquid is allocated. Wait while allocation of steam or a cooling liquid will stop. Additional headlights and others interfering a supply of cooling air hinged components worsen effect of cooling of a cooling liquid. At high external temperature and considerable loading of the engine in this case there is a danger of an overheat of the engine One of problems of a forward spoiler during movement is correct distribution of cooling air. At spoiler damage the cooling effect worsens and there is a danger of an overheat of the engine.

The tachometre shows frequency of rotation of a shaft of the engine for one minute.

At frequency of rotation less than 1500 mines-¹ are switched to the following hill-climbing gear.

ATTENTION Short-term calling of an arrow of a tachometre on red sector of a scale is supposed only.

THE NOTE Preliminary switching on the raised transfers will help to save fuel and to lower operational noise

The car is completed with a quartz watch or radio hours.

Press button "MODE"; hour indication blinks.

Hour indication on the increasing changes button pressing +.

Hour indication on the decreasing changes button pressing –.

Press button "MODE" so often, minute indication yet will not start to blink.

Minute indication on the increasing changes button pressing +.

Minute indication on the decreasing changes button pressing –.

Indication of day is established by button pressing + or –.

Again press button "MODE". Indication of month Now blinks.

Press button "MODE" so often, full indication of calendar date yet will not start to blink.

Date indication is switched off by button pressing –.

Press button "MODE" so often, full indication of calendar date yet will not start to blink.

Date indication joins button pressing +.

The termination of a blinking of indication after button pressing means end of process of installation and time programming / calendar date.

Button "СНЕСК" pressing at the switched off ignition it is possible to include for some seconds a digital watch with indication of date and the counter of the passed way.

In a mode a radio-controlled quartz watch on the display panel there is a symbol of reception of radio information (a radio tower with dispersing waves) (fig. 1.35). In the given mode manual change of indication of minutes and date is impossible.

At a car finding in various time zones it is necessary to change indication of hours accordingly manually.

In the absence of a corresponding radio signal within three days, hours are automatically switched in a mode "quartz watch". Indication of a symbol of reception of radio information Thus disappears.

For increase in brightness of a background press the button +.

For reduction of brightness of a background press the button –.

Mounted in a combination of devices the phototransistor regulates illumination of devices (illumination of arrows and scales), illumination of the central console and illumination of displays.

At switched off light and the included ignition devices (arrows and scales) are shined. With fall of brightness of a surrounding background brightness of illumination of devices automatically decreases. At insignificant surrounding light illumination in general is disconnected. The given function serves the driver as a reminder of timely inclusion of a passing light at fall of brightness of a surrounding background.

The speedometer shows speed and the passed way.

Indication of the passed way is deduced in kilometres. In some updatings indication is deduced in miles.

The bottom counter registers the general run of the car in kilometres or miles.

The top counter registers the passed way from the moment of last dump of its indication. Thanks to it it is possible to measure certain pieces of the passed way. Accuracy of readout of the counter makes 100 m or 1/10 miles. Dump (installation of zero value) top counter is carried out by pressing of the button of dump.

About malfunction presence in a combination of devices indication SAFE on a place of indications of the daily counter of a way signals.

At ignition inclusion there is an automatic inquiry of the data of a key of the car.

At using the stereotyped ignition key on the display panel of the counter of the passed way there is an indication SAFE. In this case car operation is impossible.

The index works only at the included ignition.

If the arrow has reached a reserve field, on the combination display приборовзагорается a symbol. It means that in a stock remains about 8–10 l of fuel. Indication of the given symbol reminds of necessity of refuelling.

ATTENTION Never develop fuel to an empty tank. Irregular giving of fuel can lead to faults in ignition system. As a result not burnt down fuel will get to system of release of the fulfilled gases. It can lead to an overheat and catalyst damage.

Button "СНЕСК" pressing at the switched off ignition for some seconds indication of a digital watch with indication of date and counters of the passed way (fig. 1.38) joins.

At the included ignition and during movement the system of the automatic control of malfunctions continuously supervises certain functions and a technical condition of systems of the car.

At the included ignition function of the monitoring system of malfunctions can be included also button "СНЕСК" pressing. Check of work of system can be carried out both at switched off, and at the working engine and at speed no more than 5 km/h.

At a blinking on the display of any symbol of 1st degree приоритетности or at occurrence of the indication informing on malfunction of function of lamps, short-term pressing of button "СНЕСК" it is possible to include again illumination of the corresponding instruction to the driver. For example: Motor abstellen, Olstand priifen (to muffle the engine to check up oil level).

Display indication dies away approximately through 5 with.

Pressing of button "СНЕСК" during movement it is possible to program threshold value of degree of the prevention of 1 device of the alarm system of excess of speed. Degree of the prevention 1: function. Threshold value of degree of the prevention of 2 devices of the alarm system of excess of speed. Degree of the prevention 2: function is programmed only at the switched off ignition.

Indication of periodicity of maintenance service reminds of the next servicing.

Short-term pressing of the button 1 at the included ignition on indication deduces quantity of kilometres before forthcoming servicing (fig. 1.39). The indication conclusion is possible both at muffled, and at the working engine. Indication of quantity of kilometres before maintenance service is staticized each time after ignition inclusion – the first time through 500 km after dump.

On indication of the display of the new car/car after carrying out of maintenance service in the first 500 km of run the message will be deduced: SERVICE IN – KM – TAGEN.

It extends also on cars with LongLife-Service.

When before forthcoming servicing remains 2000 and less kilometres, at ignition inclusion on the display indication is deduced: SERVICE IN 2000 KM – TAGEN

Later 5 about the display it is switched to a normal mode of indication. Indication of quantity of kilometres before servicing is staticized each time after ignition inclusion, up to approach of term of carrying out of maintenance service.

At approach of term of passage of the next maintenance service it is direct after ignition inclusion on the display indication is deduced: SERVICE. Later 5 about the display it is switched to a normal mode of indication.

Indication comes back in a starting position the enterprise which has spent maintenance service. If maintenance service was spent not by the specialised enterprise indication comes back in a starting position as follows.

Switch off ignition.

At the pressed button 1 include ignition (fig. 1.39). On the display appears one or the other messages: SERVICE IN – KM or SERVICE.

Press the button of dump 2 before occurrence on the indication display: SERVICE IN – KM – TAGEN or SERVICE.

If not to press the button of dump during 5 with, the display is switched to a normal mode of indication.

THE NOTE Return indication in a starting position only after maintenance service carrying out. Otherwise it will not represent the facts. At the accumulator detachment, the given indications of periodicity of maintenance service remain. In the presence of malfunction of 1st degree приоритетности (a red symbol) the call of indication of quantity of kilometres before maintenance service is impossible.

Installation of zero value of the top counter of the passed way (the daily counter of a way) is carried out by pressing of the button of dump.

Indication of periodicity of maintenance service in a starting position is established by pressing of the button of dump. Thus indication of periodicity of maintenance service should be in an installation mode in a starting position.
