6.1.3. Replacement of a brake liquid

THE NOTE
Apply only a new original brake liquid of concern VW/Audi.
|
|
ATTENTION
Do not suppose contact of a brake liquid to liquids which structure includes mineral oil (engine oil, gasoline, washing-up liquids). Mineral oils destroy consolidations and cuffs of brake system.
The brake liquid is poisonous. In connection with corroding action do not suppose its contact to a paint and varnish covering of the car.
The brake liquid гигроскопична also absorbs a moisture from air and should be stored constantly in densely closed containers without air access.
The spilt brake liquid is necessary for washing off a water considerable quantity.

Unscrew a cover of 1 tank with a brake liquid ( fig. 6.3).

ATTENTION
Do not delete a grid from a tank with a brake liquid.
|
Unscrew a stopper of a tank with a brake liquid.

Drain hose of the device connect to a branch pipe of 1 tank with a brake liquid ( fig. 6.4). Through a drain hose of the device pump out as much as possible a brake liquid.
Disconnect a drain hose.
Screw up a stopper of a tank with a brake liquid.

ATTENTION
The pumped out (used) brake liquid repeatedly do not use.
|
Connect the adapter 1 to a tank with a brake liquid.

Connect a jellied hose 2 devices or to the adapter ( fig. 6.5).
Cars with a mechanical transmission
Remove a protective cap with прокачного the union of the working cylinder of coupling.

Hose of 1 capacity for plum of a brake liquid put on on прокачной the union of the working cylinder of coupling, open прокачной the union and wait until will flow out apprx. 100 ml of a liquid ( fig. 6.6). Close прокачной the union and put on a protective cap.
Then some times press a coupling pedal.
Continuation for all cars
Remove protective caps with прокачных unions.
Hose of 1 capacity for plum of a brake liquid put on on forward left прокачной the union, open the union and wait until will flow out about 200 ml of a liquid. Close прокачной the union.
Repeat process on other party of a forward part of the car.
Hose of 1 capacity for plum of a brake liquid put on on back left прокачной the union, open the union and wait until will flow out about 200 ml of a liquid. Close прокачной the union.
Repeat process on other party of a back part of the car.
Volumes of a brake liquid
In front at the left: 200 ml.
In front on the right: 200 ml.
Behind at the left: 200 ml.
Behind on the right: 200 ml.
The general объем*: 1000 ml.
* Including the volume which has been pumped out from a tank with a brake liquid and the replaced volume of a liquid in the hydraulic amplifier of coupling.
Put on protective caps on прокачные unions of brake supports.
For pouring of a brake liquid the device lever establish in position In (the operation manual see).
Disconnect a jellied hose from the adapter.
Unscrew the adapter from a tank with a brake liquid.

Check up level of a brake liquid, if necessary modify ( fig. 6.7). Screw up a cover of a tank with a brake liquid.
Check up pressure upon a pedal of a brake and its free wheeling. A free wheeling макс. 1/3 courses of a pedal
