2.7.3. Free installation of final system

Loosen the carving connections of a forward tightening collar.

THE NOTE The final system is established in a cold condition.

Press release system forward so that preliminary pressure on the right fixing loop at the additional muffler made А=5–9 mm (fig. 2.295).

In regular intervals tighten carving connections of a forward tightening collar with the moment 23 Нм.

Adjust position of trailer sections.

On in cars with tightening collars between intermediate and the basic mufflers also it is necessary to level the basic muffler.

Loosen the carving connections of forward and back tightening collars.

Press release system forward so that preliminary pressure on the right fixing loop at the additional muffler made А=5–9 mm.

In regular intervals tighten carving connections of a forward tightening collar with the moment 23 Нм.

Press a back part of system of release forward so that preliminary pressure on back fixing loops at the back muffler made А=7–9 mm (fig. 2.296).

Adjust back mufflers horizontally.

In regular intervals tighten carving connections of back collars till the moment 23 Нм.

Adjust position of trailer sections.

Check up distance from the left and right exhaust pipes to a bumper:

Distance x at the left = растояние x on the right (fig. 2.297).

If necessary modify the size x as follows.

Release a nut spacers between exhaust pipes (fig. 2.298).

Change distance between mufflers.

Tighten a nut with the moment 23 Нм.

Check up distances at and z from trailer sections to a bumper:

– Distance at = more than 20 mm;

– Distance z = 10–16 mm (fig. 2.299).

Be if necessary convinced of that the release system is adjusted freely.

Get the engine and leave it idle.

Close the ends of trailer sections for the period of check carrying out on tightness, for example, by means of rags, stoppers.

Check up connections between ГБЦ and a final collector, a final collector and a reception pipe etc. on hearing.

Eliminate the revealed thinnesses.
