Check up the thermostat in a cold condition. The big plate of the valve should adjoin densely on all circle to a connecting flange ( fig. 2.212). If it not so, replace the thermostat of system of cooling.

Connect thermostat contacts by auxiliary wires from a set of auxiliary measuring means with АКБ. Keeping pincers, lower it to a flange vertically in a pan with a boiling cooling liquid (mixing proportions: 50 % G12 +) ( fig. 2.213).

ATTENTION
Do not touch metal parts of the thermostat as they heat up.
|
The resistive heater in addition heats up wax in the thermostat.
Check up, whether 10 mines the minimum course in 7 mm are reached later.
If the minimum course in 7 mm is not reached, disconnect giving of pressure from АКБ.

THE NOTE
The given check cannot be made on air. In this case strain gauge damage is not excluded.
