7.3.1. Removal and generator installation (cars with 4-tsil. The petrol engine of 1,6 l, турбированным the engine of 1,8 l, MPI 2,0 l and FSI 2,0)Removal
Disconnect a weight wire in the accumulator at the switched off ignition.

ATTENTION
At opening of a broad tank with a cooling liquid there can be hot steam or a hot cooling liquid; cover a cover with rags and to open cautiously.

Open a cover of a broad tank of a cooling liquid.
Uncover a motor compartment.
In cars with an independent heater unscrew screws of an exhaust pipe of an independent heater and an additional heater on шумоизоляционном the screen.
Release screws or quick disconnect clamps 1 and 2 and remove forward шумоизоляционный the screen.
Substitute the pallet for service cranes or under the engine.

Remove safety bracket 1 and take the gauge of temperature of a cooling liquid on an exit of a radiator 2 ( fig. 7.19). Merge cooling liquid only from a radiator.

Remove the top hose of a cooling liquid from a radiator ( fig. 7.20).

Turn off and remove the block of management of the fan of a cooling liquid and to put aside ( fig. 7.21).

THE NOTE
Before removal semi wedge a belt note a direction of its movement by a chalk or a felt-tip pen. Movement of the belt which in the opposite direction already was in the use can lead to its rupture.

For tension easing semi wedge a belt turn the tension device on an arrow ( fig. 7.22). Remove полиwedge a belt from a generator pulley.
To release the tension device.
Disconnect a socket 1.
Cars with the petrol engine of 2,0 l.

All cars
Unscrew screws above and in the bottom of (arrow) and incline the generator forward ( fig. 7.24). Disconnect a socket 2.
Take the generator.
Installation
Establish in return sequence.
Pay attention to correctness of landing and a course semi wedge of a belt ( fig. 7.26). Connect the accumulator.
Start the engine and check up a belt course.
The inhaling moments
The generator to the engine: 23 Нм.
The plug 30/B + to the generator: 16 Нм.
