2.4.3. Check of pressure of oil and the gauge of pressure of oil

Check up, whether in norm engine oil level.

The control lamp of pressure of oil should light up approximately on 3 with. At ignition inclusion.

In cars with system Auto-Check the indicator i. in norm (to cause a symbol) should light up.

Temperature of engine oil a minimum 80 C (the fan of system of cooling should work a minimum once).

Remove the gauge of pressure of oil And and screw in it in a manometre (fig. 2.205).

Twist a tester-manometre in the holder of the oil filter instead of the gauge.

Put a brown wire of a manometre for measurement of pressure of oil to weight (–).

Connect a tester of pressure V.A.G 1527 B by means of auxiliary wires from a set of auxiliary measuring means to positive conclusion АКБ (+) and to the gauge-switch of pressure of oil of V.Svetodiod of a tester should not light up.

If the light-emitting diode lights up, replace the gauge of pressure of oil with 1,4 bar.

If the light-emitting diode does not light up, start the engine and to raise turns. At pressure 1,2–1,6 bar the light-emitting diode should light up, otherwise replace the gauge of pressure of oil.

To increase engine turns further. At 2000 mines-¹ and temperature of oil 80 C superfluous pressure of oil should make 2,7–4,5 bar.

If preset values are not reached, at the big turns pressure of oil should be no more than 7,0 bar.

If the preset value is not reached:

Check up the mesh filter in маслозаборном a branch pipe on presence of pollution.

THE NOTE Mechanical malfunctions and damages, for example malfunction of bearings, can cause too low pressure of oil.

If malfunction is not found, replace the oil pump.

If the rating value is exceeded, check up oil channels.

If necessary replace an arm of the oil filter with a safety valve.

The gauge of pressure of oil and the holder of the oil filter: 21 Нм.
